I am a Phd scholar and Teaching Assistant in Literature at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India. For my doctoral research project, I am studying the adaptation of the epics Mahabharata and Ramayana in contemporary popular fiction in English. My academic interests lie in the domains of popular culture, graphic narrative, feminisms, adaptation, mythology and fairy tales.
I also write film and book reviews for various popular online websites.
I have an MA in English from Lady Sri Ram College, University of Delhi and BA in English from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. I have worked for a year in school publishing at Macmillan Publishers, and one year as a Guest Lecturer at Hindu College, Sri Venkateswara College and the Department of Germanic & Romance Studies at University of Delhi.
